How It Works

After release from the injection site, testosterone propionate is converted into testosterone. Testosterone binds to androgen receptors in muscle cells and increases muscle protein synthesis. Alongside resistance training and adequate nutrition, this drives the rebuilding and growth of muscle fibres, contributing to greater muscle size and strength.

Strength, Muscle Growth and Cutting

The released androgen increases muscle growth and strength alongside progressive resistance training. During a gaining phase, its anabolic activity increases muscle protein accumulation. During cutting, that same activity contributes to lean tissue retention while calories are restricted.

  • Building lean muscle alongside progressive resistance training.
  • Increasing strength on major lifts.
  • Increasing muscle protein rebuilding after demanding sessions.
  • Retaining lean tissue during calorie restriction.

Post Cycle Therapy

The ester suppresses natural testosterone production, making hormonal recovery relevant after a cycle. Post cycle therapy aims to restore the body's own production after external testosterone has cleared. Its shorter release profile allows recovery to be assessed sooner than with longer esters, provided other long acting compounds are absent. The need for medication depends on hormone levels and recovery.

Side Effects

Possible side effects include acne, oily skin, accelerated hair loss in susceptible men, fluid retention, breast tenderness or gynecomastia, and injection site discomfort. Testosterone can also increase blood pressure and hematocrit, adversely affect cholesterol levels and reduce sperm production. High exposure carries additional cardiovascular risks. The occurrence and severity of side effects vary between individuals.
