How It Works
The cypionate ester slows the movement of testosterone from the injection depot into circulation. Once the ester is cleaved, testosterone activates androgen receptors in muscle and changes the expression of genes involved in protein building. This increases the anabolic response to resistance training and contributes to muscle growth.
Strength and Muscle Development
The released androgen promotes increases in muscle size and force production. Consistent training and adequate food intake turn this anabolic activity into measurable progress in lean mass and lifting performance. The same action is relevant to retaining muscle when food intake is reduced.
- Developing larger muscles with progressive resistance training.
- Increasing force production on loaded exercises.
- Improving net muscle protein accumulation.
- Maintaining lean tissue during a cutting phase.
Post Cycle Therapy
External testosterone reduces LH and FSH, which lowers the body's own testosterone output. PCT addresses recovery after that exposure ends. Cypionate continues releasing after the final administration, so hormonal assessment must account for residual testosterone. The extent of suppression determines whether medication is appropriate.
Side Effects
Acne, increased skin oil, breast tenderness, fluid retention and accelerated male pattern hair loss are possible. Other effects include higher blood pressure, increased red blood cell concentration, adverse lipid changes and reduced fertility. Pain or inflammation can occur at the injection site. Cardiovascular complications become a concern with sustained high exposure.
