How It Works

The medicine activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors, changing appetite signalling and glucose dependent insulin release. It reduces the amount of food consumed and slows gastric emptying, particularly early in treatment. These actions combine appetite regulation with improved handling of blood glucose.

Calorie Intake, Fat Mass and Glucose Control

The medicine reduces body weight primarily through lower food intake, with fat mass reductions demonstrated in clinical research. Its appetite effect reduces the effort required to stay within a calorie target. Improved glucose control is an additional measured metabolic effect.

  • Reducing appetite and meal intake.
  • Reducing fat mass during clinical weight loss treatment.
  • Improving glucose dependent insulin responses.
  • Providing a prefilled liquid presentation.

Post Cycle Therapy

The medicine in the pen does not call for steroid PCT when used on its own. It changes appetite and glucose regulation rather than suppressing testosterone through an androgen receptor pathway. Returning hunger after withdrawal is separate from gonadal recovery.

Side Effects

Common effects include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, vomiting, abdominal discomfort and fatigue. More serious concerns include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, dehydration and severe gastrointestinal symptoms. Lean mass can decrease alongside fat mass. Hypoglycemia risk depends strongly on accompanying diabetes medicines. Medullary thyroid carcinoma and MEN2 histories are relevant to labelled thyroid tumour precautions.
