How It Works
It is a complex of the GHK tripeptide with copper. In cell research, it changes fibroblast activity and the production of collagen and repair related growth factors. These effects concern the extracellular matrix, the structural material surrounding and connecting tissue cells.
Collagen and Tissue Remodelling Research
Laboratory studies show increased collagen production and altered repair cell behaviour with GHK-Cu. The relevant interest is skin structure and tissue remodelling. Findings in cell cultures or topical formulations do not establish muscle recovery, tendon healing or physique benefits from injectable GHK-Cu.
- Increasing collagen synthesis in fibroblast cultures.
- Changing growth factor production in studied skin cells.
- Investigating extracellular matrix remodelling.
Post Cycle Therapy
It is a copper peptide complex rather than an anabolic androgen. There is no established requirement for steroid style PCT after the peptide alone. Human endocrine effects of injectable presentations are not comprehensively characterised.
Side Effects
Injection reactions and hypersensitivity are possible. Systemic safety information for the injectable peptide is limited, including the effects of repeated copper exposure and peptide impurities. Cosmetic or topical use cannot establish the safety of an injectable preparation.
