How It Works

It is an esterified testosterone preparation that releases the hormone slowly from an oil depot. Enzymes remove the undecanoate ester, leaving testosterone to bind to androgen receptors. In muscle, this increases protein synthesis and the anabolic response to loading.

Muscle Mass, Strength and Sustained Exposure

The muscular effects come from testosterone: increased lean mass, greater muscle size and improved strength when combined with training. The undecanoate ester extends the delivery period, making sustained hormone exposure its defining feature.

  • Increasing lean mass alongside adequate nutrition.
  • Increasing strength through greater muscular development.
  • Promoting muscle protein accumulation after resistance exercise.
  • Extending testosterone release from the injection depot.

Post Cycle Therapy

Natural testosterone production is suppressed during exposure to testosterone undecanoate. Its prolonged depot release is especially relevant to post cycle therapy because external testosterone can remain active after the final injection. Recovery assessment and any medication depend on residual exposure and the return of natural hormone production.

Side Effects

Potential adverse effects include water retention, acne, gynecomastia, increased hematocrit, higher blood pressure, adverse cholesterol changes and reduced sperm output. Oil injections also carry risks of hypersensitivity and pulmonary oil microembolism. These effects differ in frequency and severity, and high testosterone exposure increases cardiovascular concerns.
