How It Works
It is a coenzyme that accepts and transfers electrons during energy metabolism. Its conversion between NAD+ and NADH links the breakdown of nutrients to ATP production. It also acts as a substrate for enzymes involved in cellular signalling and DNA repair. Administered NAD+ undergoes extracellular metabolism, so injection does not simply deliver it unchanged into every cell.
Cellular Energy and Recovery Research
The coenzyme is essential to normal energy production, but that biological role does not establish that injections improve performance. Human infusion research documents changes in NAD related metabolites. Better endurance, faster recovery and additional muscle growth from the listed subcutaneous preparation have not been demonstrated in controlled trials.
- Participating in electron transfer during energy metabolism.
- Connecting nutrient oxidation to ATP production.
- Serving as a substrate for cellular maintenance enzymes.
Post Cycle Therapy
The coenzyme has no androgen receptor action and no established indication for testosterone directed PCT. Any post cycle hormonal suppression would concern accompanying androgens rather than its role as a metabolic coenzyme.
Side Effects
Safety depends on route, formulation and administration conditions. Local irritation and hypersensitivity are possible with an injectable preparation. Available human research does not define reliable adverse effect rates or long duration safety for repeated subcutaneous use.
