How It Works
It is a mitochondrial encoded signalling peptide that changes the regulation of cellular metabolism. Experimental research links it to metabolic stress responses, AMPK associated signalling and altered gene expression in muscle. These pathways influence how cells use fuel and adapt to energy demand.
Exercise Capacity and Metabolic Adaptation Research
Administered MOTS-c has increased physical performance in mouse studies. Human exercise studies show increases in the body's own MOTS-c, but that does not demonstrate a benefit from injecting additional peptide. Reliable performance outcomes in healthy human lifters remain unestablished.
- Regulating metabolic stress responses in experimental systems.
- Changing muscle related metabolic gene expression.
- Increasing exercise capacity in animal studies.
Post Cycle Therapy
The peptide is not an androgen and has no established steroid PCT requirement. Human endocrine data for injected MOTS-c remain limited, so a complete recovery profile has not been defined. There is no evidence based testosterone recovery regimen specific to the peptide.
Side Effects
Adequate human studies have not established the frequency of adverse effects or long duration safety for the supplied peptide. Injection reactions and hypersensitivity are possible. Metabolic effects, peptide impurities and immune responses remain incompletely characterised.
