How It Works

It is an anabolic androgen that improves nitrogen retention and increases the accumulation of tissue protein. It also stimulates red blood cell production, the basis of its established use in certain anaemias. Its anabolic effects have been measured as increases in lean mass and muscular strength in human studies.

Body Mass, Muscular Fullness and Strength

The steroid increases body weight and lean mass, and clinical trials have recorded improvements in upper body strength. Greater tissue mass and fluid shifts contribute to the fuller appearance associated with the compound. Changes in scale weight therefore include more than newly formed muscle.

Post Cycle Therapy

Side Effects

Important risks include liver injury, cholestatic jaundice and marked adverse changes in cholesterol. Fluid retention, higher blood pressure, breast symptoms, acne and reduced natural testosterone are also possible. Prolonged exposure to oral anabolic steroids has been associated with serious liver disorders. Cardiovascular strain increases with substantial exposure.
