How It Works

The peptide activates the ghrelin receptor and stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone. The same receptor system influences hunger, explaining its effect on appetite. It increases endogenous GH secretion rather than delivering growth hormone directly.

Growth Hormone Release and Appetite

Human studies show increases in growth hormone release and food intake with GHRP-2. Increased appetite is relevant when eating enough for a gaining phase is difficult. These hormonal and appetite effects are established more directly than claims of added muscle or faster training recovery.

Post Cycle Therapy

The peptide acts on GH secretion rather than supplying an androgen. There is no established indication for steroid style PCT after GHRP-2 alone. Its endocrine effects are assessed through the relevant hormone and metabolic changes, separately from testosterone recovery after steroid use.

Side Effects

Possible effects include increased hunger, transient cortisol or prolactin elevations, changes in glucose control and injection reactions. GH related swelling or tingling is a concern with sustained stimulation. Human safety data for prolonged use are limited, and peptide impurities or immune reactions add uncertainty.
