Enclomiphene Citrate - Hilma Biocare
This medicine is a selective estrogen receptor modulator studied in men with secondary hypogonadism. It works through the hormonal signals involved in testicular testosterone production.

Product strength, presentation and packaging are awaiting confirmation.
How It Works
The medicine blocks estrogen feedback at the hypothalamus and pituitary. This increases LH and FSH release, which stimulates the testes to produce testosterone. Its action requires a responsive hormonal axis and sufficient testicular function.
Testosterone Production and Fertility Signalling
Clinical trials in men with secondary hypogonadism show increases in testosterone and gonadotropins with enclomiphene. Sperm concentrations were maintained in studied men while their own testosterone production increased. These findings concern endogenous hormonal function rather than direct anabolic steroid action.
- Increasing LH and FSH in responsive men.
- Increasing the testes' own testosterone production.
- Maintaining sperm concentrations in clinical trial populations.
Post Cycle Therapy
The medicine is discussed for PCT because it increases the signals that stimulate natural testosterone production. Trials in secondary hypogonadism establish that hormonal action, while a standard recovery protocol after steroid use has not been established. Suitability depends on the actual pattern of suppression.
Side Effects
Reported effects include headache, nausea, hot flushes and increased estradiol. Visual symptoms and thromboembolic concerns are relevant to the SERM class, although the frequency with enclomiphene is less well defined. Long duration safety data are limited compared with established medicines.
